  My interview on BBC threw JWs in shock

  i had an interview on bbc one.

  before i write about it and the jws, just a quick reminder.

  since my book was published two years ago, jws avoid me even though i am not disfellowshipped.

  I had an interview on BBC One. Before I write about it and the JWs, just a quick reminder. Since my book was published two years ago, JWs avoid me even though I am not disfellowshipped. A few brothers and sisters secretly stay in touch with me. Two years ago, they told me that a number of JWs wish me the worst things possible for not going to the meetings and for the stuff in the book (bear in mind the book is fiction).

  None of them was expecting that last week I will be giving an interview on BBC One news throughout Sunday, day and night. All of the UK saw it. By the way, the interview wasn’t about the book. It was about me being one of the positive examples of Europeans settling in the UK.

  The brothers and sisters who still talk to me notified me how some JWs went crazy because of the interview. They thought I am dying somewhere and crying without the Borg, but I am all good. They couldn’t cope with me being on the prime news while they were eating their takeaways. They couldn’t believe that a person can live a happy and healthy life without them.

  Ha, ha, ha. Crazy JWs can’t wait for the Armageddon to come. Well, I have news for you; it was cancelled.

  And I hope that the JWs who can’t leave the Borg, for different reasons will eventually be able to do it.

  "people who were born in 1914 will see the armageddon" i heard it so many times.. "alex you left!

  you are making a mistake.

  the armageddon is nearly here" i heard it so many times.. it is 2019. no sign of the end.. i can make the same post in 2029 and 2039 and 2049. sadly in 2049 there will be crazy jws telling me the end is tomorrow.

  It is 2019. No sign of The end.

  Sadly in 2049 there will be crazy JWs telling me The end is tomorrow. Sadly some of them will be my friends who never had a life, because of the fear of the fictional Armageddon.

  Saying hello again

  just saying i’m still alive and greeting everyone, veterans and newcomers to this forum.. 2018 was a year with a lot of turmoil in my life; me and my wife separated, then reunited months later, and spent the second half of the year healing the emotional wounds from that episode.

  that, along with a record year in terms of my business meant that choices had to be made regarding my time, and i decided to focus on my marriage instead of other endeavours.

  it seemed to have paid off.

  Russian gunman raised in JW family

  the link bellow is sort of ok. i could not find a decent article in english language about this, but russian media is exploding.

  2 days ago a teenager killed 19 people and injured dozens and committed suicide.

  he was raised in a jw family.

  Vienne - It is simple the Org wrote that people born in 1914 will see Armageddon. They didn't write specifically 2014, but stating that 1914 is the starting point was giving people hope and the idea that Armageddon will definitely come before 2014.

  Finkelstein - As I wrote in the beginning. Its just an opinion. Anything is possible. We have to wait what will the investigation say, which usually takes a long time

  Vienne - Before 2014 the Org constantly wrote that people who were born in 1914 will definitely see Armageddon. Then Armageddon was cancelled and the new prophecy is proper nonsense - basically another lie.

  My opinion on this situation. Only an opinion! I think the Org should take some responsibility for this. As it was brainwashing people that the end will definitely come by 2014. This boy was raised in a poor family, with one disabled parent. I bet he could not wait for the Armageddon and the New World to come. But since the Org cancelled the Armageddon. I say cancelled, because that's what happened. The new explanation by the Org is pure deception, fabrication, fable and every other word connected with lies. So when this boy realised that his struggles won't end and that the Org is a scam and fraud he decided to take his life in a such a horrible way.

  My New Found Patriotism

  i'm not entirely sure where this has come from, but these past few months i've found myself gradually becoming more and more involved politically and identifying myself differently.

  we all remember what it was like as jws, no political involvement whatsoever, no national pride, no singing the national anthem or saluting the flag etc.

  I think what is happening to you is fully acceptable. We constantly change through our live by different factors from outside and inside. So all the best with your new you. I live in UK, Wales for ten years and slowly Wales is becoming my mother land as I have more and more connections with it. And even though English anthem (The Queen song) is not Welsh I do love to sing it. It helps me to be part of the British culture.

  Since freeing myself from Religion I've been trying to free myself from Government as much as possible also

  i love freedom.

  more than money,vacations material possessions etc.to be free of religion has been such a liberating experience.

  i have to agree with one thing that j.rutherford (second president of the wt) said about religion being a snare and a racket.

  I wish you all the best on your journey to free yourself from the Government. I don't think you will find people here who gone of the grid totally. They just wont be here. You need to google stories of people (some of them are Americans) who moved to Siberia in Russia. Siberia has vast areas with no roads, landlines, mobile network etc. I think it is one of rare place on the planet where you can fully be independent from the system
